Tom Parker: the late British music icon
Tom Parker’s illness was well known. The British music icon had previously told fans of him on October 2020 that he had an inoperable brain tumor. His wife, Kelsey Hardwick, announced the terrible news on Instagram: “Our hearts are broken. She added: “Tom was the center of our world. The Wanted: iconic and afflicted group
The famous music group The Wanted has form in 2009. It consisted of Tom Parker, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes, and Jay McGuiness. They had two UK number one singles: Glad You Came and All Time Low. They also had success with the hits Chasing The Sun, Heart Vacancy, and Lightning. The group then released a best-of album in November. Shortly before the album was released, Tom Parker told fans that his brain tumor was “stable” and “under control.” They then went on tour and Parker made a throne-seated appearance on stage at some of their final shows earlier this month. It seemed that his situation had already worsened.

The death of Tom Parker has mourned the world of British music. Numerous stars have paid tribute to him on social media.
Singer Ed Sheeran posted on Instagram: “So sad to hear of Tom’s passing. The thoughts and Love go to Kelsey, her children and her family. Very sad day, what a nice boy. »
Take That’s Howard Donald also paid tribute to Parker: “So young and so sad. RIP Tom Parker from The Wanted. Strength and love for his family. »
Rylan Clark called it “absolutely disappointing” news. “He was such a nice guy. So sad to hear. Sending my love to Kelsey and the kids,” she wrote. One Direction’s Liam Payne said he was “heartbroken”. “He was so full of life and humor, and the memories I have of him will stay with me forever. »
The non-profit organization Brain Tumor Research UK issued a statement praising Parker’s openness about her illness and her fundraising efforts.
