CIES: Gavi, Nuno Mendes, Lukeba, Sulemana… Here are the most expensive debutants in the Big 5 European league! – Soccer

The CIES Football Observatory has revealed its ranking of the debutants with the highest market value in the five major European leagues (France, Germany, England, Spain, Italy). Several young Ligue 1 players are among the 50 most expensive debutants.

Gavi is not the most expensive debutant in the European league of the big 5

For several years, the CIES Football Observatory, thanks to a precise algorithm that takes into account various criteria (age, duration of contract, level, performance, status, etc.), has determined the value of footballers. And in his latest weekly letter, he revealed his ranking of the five major league rookies with the highest market value.

To establish their classification, CIES has established the following conditions: all players are under 23 years of age and play their first season in one of the five most important European championships (France, Germany, England, Spain, Italy). Some elements have already been able to play one or more years in another league.

RB Leipzig has pites

It is therefore in Germany that we find the most expensive starter in the Big 5 league. This is RB Leipzig central defender Josko Gvardiol (20). An essential starter since his arrival from Dinamo Zagreb last summer, the Croatian international (10 caps) is worth an estimated €96.2m. He is ahead of his teammate and attacking midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai (21 years old, 60.3 million euros), a deserter from RB Salzburg, as well as one of the new nuggets of the FC Barcelona training center, midfielder Gavi ( 17 years, 58.6 million euros).

At the foot of the podium, we find the left-back on loan from Sporting CP to Paris Saint-Germain, Nuno Mendes (19 years old, €58M). The author of good performances in Paris, the Portuguese is ahead of Crystal Palace central defender Marc Guehi (21 years old, €50 million), Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapi (20 years old, €42.6 million), the attacking midfielder of Eintracht Frankfurt Jesper Lindstrom (€22, €37.8M) and another Bayer Leverkusen centre-back, Odilon Kossounou (€21, €36.5M).

The young talents of L1

Ligue 1 is fairly well represented in the Top 10. Rennes winger Kamaldeen Sulemana (20 years old, €33.8m), transferred from Nordsjaelland, is in ninth place. The Ghanaian international made a remarkable debut at the French championship, where his technique has already caused several opponents headaches, before suffering a back injury that has kept him out of the court since February. Right behind, Monaco striker Myron Boadu (21 years old, €29.8m) is in 10th place. Despite a difficult first season in France, the former AZ Alkmaar nugget retains a good rating.

Revelations of the season in L1, the Lyon central defender Castello Lukeba (19 years old, €21.5 million), the right-back from Monaco Vanderson (20 years old, €18.7 million), the Lille midfielder Amadou Onana (20 years old, 16 5 M€) and followed a little further in the Top 50 by the Rennes center-back Warmed Omari (21 years old, 14.5 M€), the Trojan winger Issa Kabor (20 years old, 11.9 M€), the winger from Marseille Konrad de la Fuente (20 years old, €11 million), Rennes goalkeeper Dogan Alemdar (19 years old, €10.5 million) and Angevin midfielder Azzeddine Ounahi (22 years old, €9.2 million).
