This rich buyer buys two very rare Bugattis and buys six for his children

Buying a Bugatti is a true experience. And given the multi-million euro price tag applied to the luxury car brand’s various models, that’s understandable. The manufacturer sometimes welcomes its customers to its stronghold in Molsheim to present them with their example of the Chiron. “For them, it is an opportunity to step on the same ground as Ettore Bugatti and touch or immerse themselves in a century of Bugatti history,” explains the firm recently acquired by the Rimac group.

It was therefore only natural that Bugatti would receive one of its clients at the Château Saint-Jean, “in the heart of the Bugatti residence”, to hand over his Chiron Super Sport 300+ and a Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Edition, both presented in his orange and black livery. The wealthy buyer made the trip with his six children to discover these works of art on wheels, explore Bugatti’s workshop and “witness how the brand’s hyper sports cars are created.”

And the kids were spoiled, as their father eventually walked away with six custom-built Bugatti Baby IIs. The little yellow, red, green, blue, orange and white cars lined up in front of the Château Saint-Jean to take a photo for the occasion. As a reminder, this Bugatti Baby II is a miniature version of the famous Type 35, powered by an electric unit that allows it to reach a top speed of 67.6 km/h. It is equipped with a battery that gives it a range of 50 kilometers.

Bugatti even allowed himself to play a little prank on his customer. This last acquaintance of the brand for a long time, became friends with Andy Wallace, official Bugatti driver.

By lifting the silk veil that concealed the car, the Bugatti teams led the buyer to believe that it was equipped with “new voice-activated start-up technology.”

At the same time, sitting inside the car, Andy Wallace pressed the start button, causing the Chiron to appear to “come alive with the sound of voice.” The full blown.

In addition to this 1,600 hp hypercar, the buyer offered himself a Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Edition. “It became the fastest convertible in the world in 2013, reaching a top speed of 408.84 km/h,” recalls Bugatti. The older sister of the Chiron has the W16 8.0 quad-turbo from the horseshoe brand, which here develops 1,200 hp. Only eight examples of this model were “produced and delivered”. It benefits from the official certification of La Maison Pur Sang, which “verifies the authenticity of models from all eras” produced by Ettore Bugatti’s firm.

It is estimated that this very special client of the luxury car manufacturer paid around €7,361,000 to acquire these eight vehicles.

Bugatti publishes images of a reception organized for one of its most loyal customers. In 2022, the latter offered himself a Chiron Super Sport 300+ and a Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Edition. Accompanied by his six children, he also left with a Bugatti Baby II for each of them. He would have spent around €7,361,000 to afford these vehicles.
